One would hope that Canon sees fit to improve the AF in the 5D3 based on the volume and degree of gripes that 5D2 users have produced.

Thanks Eric, I'm led to believe the 5D3 will have the AF from the 7D.

AF is the one big thing that jumps out at me.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and go full frame when the new DSLRs are released.

I do have a habit of buying a lesser equipment then buying the more expensive one later.

What's your opinion on the usable differences between the 1DS and 5D ranges?

Do we have any Pentax users on the forum?  Bought the K-5 back in spring of this year and I'm enjoying shooting with it.  Purchased a good 70mm prime lens and getting some decent shots for a newbie but still learning.  Just wanted to give the Pentax a little love and breathe some life into the Pentax forum  Cheesy

I'm not aware of anything that would cause you to get a faster transfer speed just by changing card readers.  Or at least that would be worth the cost of switching between USB 2.0-type card readers.

Sometimes when I take a photo of something that looks out of place I find out later that it's
doing it's best to be part of its surroundings.

I currently own a SanDisk card reader which I use to transfer my image files from my Canon 40D to my computer for processing.  I know that in part my transfer speed is based upon the USB format (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc.), but wonder if there is anything regarding the actual card reader that can impact transfer speed.

I ask because I now have a Canon 7D and SanDisk UDMA cards and while I cannot change my USB type connection I am willing to change to a faster card reader if such a thing exists.

So.... am I solely at the mercy of my USB standard for transfer speed or can I increase said speed with a new and better card reader?

Thanks in advance.
